yet another week goes by
Very cool week - I should post more but where does the time go? The shop continues to be a fun place with great cupcakes and fun conversations with the new friends that come in. Who knew that so many people from WV live in this area. Not me. I love it when people come in and share stories from home. And….we did a cool photoshoot at HR Magazine in conjunction with some other cupcake shops in the area. I got to meet Patrick Evans-Hylton and behaved like a groupie. Yes, I just sat, smiled and listened, taking it all in. I love his work, dedication and insights to the culinary happenings in HR and it was just a thrill to meet him. I did take some cupcakes to share with him and others and he had some nice things to say. Yep, me + Patrick, we’re buds now; I’m sure he’ll call to hang out real soon. ;-)
Come visit us this week - got some new flavors that we’re introducing. I’m really psyched about the blueberry cupcake. We’re getting all of our berries from Pungo Blueberries. I continue to think it’s important to support our local growers. My understanding is that the blueberry bushes are loaded and I just had some and they couldn’t be sweeter. So get out there! Delish.
