We have a new toy; the Cupcake Catering Trailer. It’s available for bridal showers, birthday parties and special events. We take it out each Saturday at the Old Beach Farmer’s Market. It’s a 1978 Serro Scotty that we’re restoring {well, except they never came in pink/brown} to its original glory. Please stop by and say hello and take a look around. This picture was taken at the beach on a glorious day. You don’t always see clouds in Virginia Beach.
We’ve been really fortunate to be involved in some gorgeous weddings. The one at the Currituck Club was just beautiful. I have to share this photo. I can’t take any credit - they had a wonderful event planner. Cupcake/cake photos are on our facebook page and on flickr but I just thought this was stunning.

And, come hungry! Our neighbor, at the bbq shop, will be serving up his yummy bbq sandwiches + chips for $1.50 each, while they last! If you haven’t eaten there you’re really in for some good bbq. Honestly, we do have Wade’s bbq at least once a week because it’s soooo good. We’ll also be serving out some Johnny Cupcakes-inspired FREE mini cupcakes, while they last. Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour 2010: Back To Basics
Just saw this and wanted to share ;-)
We are so excited to announce that Just Cupcakes (JC) is the 3rd stop on the Johnny Cupcakes (JC), get it JC + JC ~ it was meant to be ;-), suitcase tour. Way before I opened the shop I was a JC (his JC not mine) fan. Being a design junkie, he’s been on my radar for a very long time. He just does it all right. Great design and branding and does it consistently every time. If you follow us on twitter you know it was Christmas in March on Saturday when we got our supply of The Cupcake Chronicle, some stickers, badges and a very cool pencil. That’s right, my Volvo now sports a Make Cupcakes Not War Sticker. How many people can say that! Chronicle’s are available on the counter at the shop. Also, starting next week we’ll be having in-store events in anticipation. First sweet deal - starting 3/15 wear a Johnny Cupcakes t-shirt into the shop and get a free cupcake. As always, play nice - 1 per customer. Stay tuned for more details!

First, thank you to the many, many people that made my V-Day and came to the shop to get sweets for their sweeties. Thank you for posting your pictures on our facebook page and for the nice things that are said on the blogs. It certainly means more to me and all of us at Just Cupcakes more than you can ever know. We all love baking cupcakes for you and glad that Virginia Beach loves cupcakes!
Also, my sincerest apologies when we misplaced an order, made you wait and didn’t have cupcakes out as promptly as we’d like and as you deserve as valued new friends of ours. Lots of sweet lessons learned and we’ll be better prepared next time…..promise.
To all of those great runners at the 14k - we tried to stay out on the course as long as possible before going to the tent. We brought a truckload, literally, of cupcakes and we hope that everyone that wanted one got one but know that you didn’t. Again, we sincerely tried and apologize that we just simply ran out. It was a terrific morning and the kids enjoyed cheering you all on and getting cupcakes to many of you. We volunteer for lots of events all year long, donate cupcakes weekly and hope that the next time we’re there that you come out and get 2 :-).
